National Institute of Oceanography (NIO) is a Government of India Organisation which works under the Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR). The institute is engaged in scientific research and studies of special oceanographic features of the Northern Indian Ocean. The institute has its headquarters in Goa and regional centres in Kochi, Mumbai and Vizag. Job Location: The selected candidates are required to work at Goa, Kochi, Mumbai and Visakhapatnam depending on the need as and when arises. 

Salary / Pay Scale: Pay Level 6 As Per 7th CPC (The Total Emoluments Excluding HRA and Transport Allowances is Approx Rs. 41,418 and Including HRA and TPT in Metro is approximately Rs. 54,150/-).

Educational Qualification: B.Sc Degree in Physics / Maths / Biology / Chemistry / Geology / Archaeology OR B.Sc Degree with B.Lib OR Engineering Diploma in Electrical Engineering / Civil Engineering / Electronics Engineering / Electronics & Communication Engineering / Computer Science / Computer Engineering / Information Technology / Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering. 

Experience (If Any): 0-3 Years Experience. For Post Wise Experience Details, Kindly Check The Notification Below.

Age Limit: Upper Age Limit is 28 Years For General Category Candidates (For OBC – 31 Years and for SC / ST – 33 Years.)

Selection Process: Selection of Candidates Will Be Through OMR / Computer Based Objective Type Multiple Choice Examination. The Questions Will Be Set Both in English and Hindi Except The Question on English Language. .
